Can someone please tell me if there is suppose to be a hose attached to this air box and the other end going through the firewall? I assume this is the case, but the original (I assume) hose does not seem to have the correct bends in it. When I first picked Granny up, the hose was just dumping into the passenger floor. I noticed that there is a large (~2") hole in the firewall where I would think this hose should pass through. If so, any ideas on there to get one? I think it needs to be "molded" so it will not interfere with the passenger's feet...

(Sorry for the rambling, but I'm sorta at a loss here - I have no experience with this "new-fangled" gadgetry!!!)

Mine was missing also. Here in the PNW we get lots of liquid sunshine, I took an old garden hose and cut the female end long enough to go through the fire wall hole, the I fiberglassed it to the drain hole. So far works good. Course I haven't had any leaves and pine needles to plug it yet. HTH. Walt

They have a bend in them, as well as a "check" valve end. It looks like a set of lips closed together, that allow water to push out, but on critters to crawl up.

I think I have an extra one. Paypal shipping and a donation that you feel is adequate and I'll ship it. I cannot ship until 1 or 2 weeks from now though... IM if interested.

Thanks for the offer. Since I'm so close to finishing this thing, I think I'll try to find something around here that will work.

Thanks for the other suggestions! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't loosing my mind!!!

Jim's parts book drawing is very good. Here is the pic of the tube I just got yesterday from "Firegod". I bought the whole heater assembly. Plan on being warm next winter.

Thanks guys!!! That looks just like the hose I have. I suppose I just need to figure out how to route it (over the years it's lost it's shape).

Jim - I don't suppose you have any of those in your parts stock, do you?

I just made my own out of PVC... I flared the end and used a torch to heat it up while I rolled it around until it became as flexible as a noodle. Works Great.....
