Looking For Part Number...

    Hey guys,

    Looking for the PN number of the lower shroud for a GM bellhousing on a 69 CJ5 with Dauntless. Anybody know (or have the part)

    i think you are looking for one of these.

    I don't have an extra but I searched on car-part.com and found about 10 bell housings, so i would bet if you call those places somebody would have the shroud too.

    That plate is just a flat sheet of steel with the ribs added. You could ask someone to trace the outline of one - or trace from your bell housing - and cut it out of some steel sheet. It will work fine without the ribs present.

    I made one and used it just fine. It was easy to make. I replaced it when I found one.

    The one that jpflat2a posted looks like the right thing, good price too.

    Made one by using a original off my '69 as a pattern. No beads ,etc. but works just fine.Put the O.E.M. piece on the '71 Ren II as that part was AWOL when I bought the rig.Put the copy on the '69 and it doesn't no the difference.will be on the look out for a original. mike
