Need help adjusting my new solex carb on the f134. Didn't come with any instructions.

It starts great, but surges a little at idle. Also hesitates when accelerating. I'm sure it's a simple adjustment, just need a little guidance.

Mine is 20+ years old, so the design may have changed, but on mine the accelerator pump isn't directly connected to the throttle linkage. It is actuated by a push-spring off of the throttle linkage. Make sure the accelerator pump arm is actually moving, and not just compressing the spring.

I just realized last week that this is my issue with a dead-spot off-idle. My accelerator pump has more resistance than the spring and it is inoperative. I'm going to delete the spring and make a positive connection.

I've read that a fuel pressure regular is important when using a Solex. Something like 2 or 4 psi.
