    What color?
having a hard time deciding on just going with black/white or something else..
any input greatly appreciated at this point...

Top and doors in theory don't have to match...
My jeep is bellow and some examples of CJ5 hardtops posted for reference...

Just personal opinion on aesthetics - given your current two-tone color and chrome look, I think a top and doors that matches the front end blue would be best. Generally I like a top and doors that contrast with the the body color, but you already have interesting color contrast with the tub. Hopefully you can run without the top most of the time anyway as it looks great as is!

White is practical. Keeps the cabin cooler and does not show dirt like a dark color.

Did you polish the body? If so, that must have been a lot of work! Interesting appearance of the contrast between color and polished metal.
Now I do love the color of the front. Seems that you asked opinions, I would continue with the paint on the body, doors, and sides of top. I would then paint the very top white, especially if you have a Meyers. Classic look for a classy classic CJ6.

    Love your Jeep!

Maybe even go with chrome on the very top?

I decided on white to stick with "original."
Figured with a white top, if I ever decide to do other color options it would be a better canvas than black.
the Meyer tops were originally white and this jeep, other than the aftermarket body is fairly true to the period.
Stay cooler in the summer and I always wanted a blue jeep with a white top.

body is polished aluminum... has more of a row boat feel than Harley chrome, but this is my motorcycle (y)

I agree with the white also, I think it would look really good with that blue. You could consider some sort of blue "accent" on the top, like a small stripe for example.

    that's a really good idea..

I also haven't ruled out the possibility of a rear rub rail or slim tube fender that would be color match

Meyers catalog states Glacier White #395 was standard color, but other colors were available at an extra charge.
