T14 T86 Question

    So I am still looking to find a t14 front bearing retainer. The outside of the shaft collar has some excess wear from a broken clutch fork that allowed the release bearing to wobble on the collar.

    Overdrive guy Herm may have something that can work - thought I would check with the forum to see if this makes sense...He suggested a t86 FRB would work - will it? Also said there are two different bolt patterns - not sure if he meant for the t86 or the t14 (maybe the V6 vs the I6 applications). My T14 is a 3bolt pattern on a 4 1/4 diameter retainer.

    Finally, Herm said he resurfaces them...does that mean the round retainer surface, the inside and/or the outside of the shaft collar?

    T14 FRB is hard to find! Thanks

    I got my T14 and bearing retainer from Herm over 10 years ago. Still working great. Not sure if the bearing retainers are the same, but Herm definitely won't lead you astray. Hooe this helps.
