I'm making shackles and have the plates cut and drilled. I want to weld in a spacer. Does anyone know what the measurement should be or should I just make it the same size as the bushing spacer?
    Thanks

I'd say 1-3/4" like the spring.

They'll be awfull tight getting them in if you make them the same width as the springs. I think I'd go at least 1 7/8" if your springs measure 1 3/4" Maybe someone who is running some Con Fers will chime in with the width on theirs. Or you could put them on, tighten them up and measure the space.

Hello, the way I do it is put a shackle on without the spacer, not real tight, then measure for the spacer. Cut two extra spacers. Take the shackle off, use the two extra spacers and take the shackle bolts, put them through the spring hole and the shackle hole, then put your spacer in the position to weld, tighten up bolts, you then have a "jig" Take out bolts and extra spacers and you have a perfect fit. I hope I explained it right. Good luck.
