Does it make any difference where the oil feed line is attached to the engine? The original location is right by the fuel pump, I believe.
I ask because I had lines made up to plumb in an engine oil cooler, which I am no longer using, and the oil filter inlet hose will not reach. Do you think it wI'll be ok to use an oil gallery plug closer to the rear of the engine?
    Thanks
    Chris

I would make it as close to the filter as I could get it, if you are using the stock filter location that would be the front where it was form the factory. Just my two cents.

The oil filter has been relocated to the firewall,on the driver's side. The original mounting location is where the power steering pump is now.

I am wondering if moving the oil filter feed line to a location physically behind the oil pump will make any difference. I don't want to cause a pressure or lack of oil supply problem.

That is my thought too. Personally I would get new longer lines made and use the original port coming from the block. Then you'll know that there shouldn't be any problem related to that.
