CJ5 Frame Repair

    HA, don't look there. Thats the loss of ideas on how to fix it and the point where you give up and move on. But thanks for looking anyway.

    But you've come so far! It's quite impressive!

    I don't need to go that far down the rabbit hole (I hope)! I'm thinking about your method to recreate the frame angles, was wondering if there's an easier way though.

    I'm thinking fab something like this, but add fishplates at the butt welds for added strength.[​IMG]

    If I were you, I would buy another frame or a whole jeep to replace it with and make one good one.

    That frame in the pic looks fine, but has a whole lot of butt welds that are straight up and down. It is also a lot more complex than I decided to make mine. Once you decide to make a frame, in any way shape of form, you are so far down the rabbit hole....

    I found one in nice shape off of a 1962 CJ5, I know the motor mounts would need to be swapped for the dauntless, what about the suspension differences?
