Does anybody know with any certainty which headers for a Dauntless V6 fit a 1967 CJ5 that has ben fitted with Herm's steering kit. I've got the manual version of his kit if that matters and I know fenderwell versions but I'm more interested in whether Novak ones or Advance Adapters ones will fit. Thanks.....Bob

I also would like to know what the differences are between the Novak V6 headers and the ones made by Sanderson.

I have used both header setups, and worked with Eric at Novak designing the ones they sell. They are made by Sanderson, but have been tweeked to fit a V6 in 5s and flatties with both Ross and Saginaw steering. Both sides have slight changes to allow the tubes to clear better, stay in the frame rails, but not crowd the steering and starter.

I have not used Herm's steering conversion, so I can not comment on it's impacts to fitment.

What does that have to do with my original question?

I have a set of Hedman headers on my 66 with Herm's steering kit and it clears fine. It's a little close but I was able to make it work. I'm out of town this weekend but will try and post some pictures next week if it would help.

Hedmans are fenderwell headers so they will always fit. I'm interested in inside the frame headers.

Oh, got you. Guess I should have read your original post closer. Good luck. I'll be following this as I really don't like the fenderwell headers.
