65 Starter Bolts

    I was getting my 65cj5 plow jeep ready for the blizzard and noticed that the bolts that fasten the starter to the engine have a knurled section about a 1/2" long on the bolt just above the threads. Anybody know what purpose this serves? (225 Odd Fire) Just curious since I've never noticed this on any bolts before. :? Thanks, Mike
