1950 Jeepster - What is this?

Anyone know what the thing is below the voltage regulator? One of the wires appears to go
directly to the starter positive wire post. The rest are cut and I have no idea...

Looks like a horn relay.

 

Found the horn relay behind the horns on the left side. The tall thing is a fuse I think.

 

Overdrive relay.
Get yourself a shop manual and parts book for the Jeepster.

Check out the site for overdrive parts. Be sure you're sitting down when you view the prices.

If everything on your jeepster is working then I would remove it and store it away just in case. Never know who added what and for what for. Maybe PO had fog/running lights added then removed?

 

Thanks TommyCJ!! I have the manual, but it wasn't in the wiring diagram. However, there was a supplement for the overdrive unit.

Now to see if actually works lol.
