1st Time Jeep owner. 1st post.

Doing a frame up restoration on a 1974 CJ5, 258. Doing the tilt steering conversion from Flamming River. They list this part a a necessary part for the conversion. Can anyone tell me where it bolts in? Did a search but can't find anything about it. I haven't yet figured out how I am securing the upper end so I'm thinking that is where this comes in somehow.

    First, Welcome!
Second, a restore is to put back to original. What you are doing is a rebuild or sometimes referred to a restomod as part restoration and part modification to taste.
Your original column bolted to the dash with a bracket integrated into the column tube. The brackets I see on the link are to mount the column but there most likely will need some fabrication done. On '76 and newer Jeeps there is an angled bracket that bolts a mount similar to those to the hanging pedal bracket. You will need a way of securing the column to the firewall as well. Going from memory here but I think there is a bracket that bolted or was welded to the firewall for this so that should be easy.
