Fhead fuel pump thread size

    Hi, can anyone tell me the correct size/thread for the inlet and outlet on an Fhead fuel pump? I think it is measured in NPT size.

    I believe it's 1/8" NPT. Be very careful tightening whatever you stick in there, NPT is a tapered thread & as you tighten the fitting you're placing outward stress on the pump casting- that's only pot metal & it will crack easily. For that reason rebuilders recommend use of pipe dope instead of teflon tape for sealing- the teflon let's you crank fittings in too much before it feels "tight".
