I have not been on this forum for a long time. My jeep has been apart & off the frame for a while (stored inside). I need suspension and was looking at 2.5" lift. The jeep has the standard 6 cyl and 3 spd trans.

I plan on keeping this a simple daily driver.

I don't have the original springs. Already have new perch mounts. The upper shock mounts studs are all bad. Should I just buy a suspension lift kit? ...............BDS looks nice, but I have to watch the money..........

Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated!

I have to get this together and roll it out of the garage.

What is the intended use of the Jeep and what tire size do you plan to run?

    occasional daily driver

As I remember, previous threads say 31" is good enough

I'd run a 2 1/2" lift and call it good. No steering issues that way and if you decide to go a little larger tire later you can pretty easily. BDS is nice and so is Rubicon Express. I'd say BDS is a little more affordable.

I second what Nick posted. I have messed up going the route I followed trying to stay stock and save a few bucks. Abject failure and a waste of my time...
Get the BDS and be done with it and get on to the next item.
