Exactly. I searched fairly exhaustively on my own trying to find this info, and came up with zilch.

VERY professional, VERY VERY helpful. Thanks again middle.road. You definately fit into the "uber awesome individual with a kind, helpful soul" category.

So my next question is, if I have the rear shaft shortened, how much should I have lopped off? I was thinking 1 1/2-2". Is this too much, too little? What kind of travel should I need? Again, the Jeep has I believe a 4" lift installed by a PO. I am not expecting crazy articulation or travel from the leaf springs.

Sorry for being such a newb to Jeeps, guys.

Been researching the driveshaft topic. Gunna have to have it lopped, or a new prop shaft. And $200 isn't bad at all for a custom shaft.
However, kinda relieved to see what other folk have often run. Some rather CRAZY pinion angles out there, esp with an auto. My driveshaft angle is nowhere that steep, esp. with the care I took to parallel the trans/crank with the rear yoke. The motor is higher in the compartment. However, I have to remind myself(old habits die hard), I am NOT building a sports car. This isn't "bad", as I might not have to lop off and move one of the oil pan kick outs, or the oil filter and cooler. And will be much better for water fording. I'll post some pics for the gurus to inspect sometime in the next few days. Definately would respect the input and thought.

Cool cool... Glad to get you what you needed to fix up the wheel wells. That was an easy one for a change. Nice to have it appreciated.

Thanks everyone for the compliments and acknowledgement!
