Does anyone know the length off the top of their head? I'm about 300 miles away from my jeep & have found a great deal on a tilt column, just hoping measurements will be close. I believe mine is like 35" from box to wheel mount. Just looking for verification

Are you trying to adapt a tilt column to the stock Ross steering box? That won't work, the column is integral to the box.

No, I've already changed it over to power steering & have been looking for a column. I've found one while I'm out of state, just was curious approximately what the original column length was, because the one I've found seems awfully short.

28 to 32 from the floor up seems common for the billet hot rod stuff

Most columns that fit in an early Jeep...........( and of course I have no Idea what your setup is forward of the firewall nor even what year Jeep were talking about which would be helpful!) .........are about 28"-30" from the point inside the firewall to where the steering wheel will mount...........of course different dish steering wheels will change all that..........you really need to measure all your stuff up before you go on another road trip.......to many variables!
