    Hi all,
I'm still around and I know I can't contribute much to the forums but I do get volumes of information from them and for that I thank you all. To give you an update... I have a '59 CJ5 with an F134 that was sitting in a field for 25 years. I currently have the body off and I have freed up the motor. I rebuilt the carb and installed a new fuel pump. If the weather would warm up just a little I might be able to get it started.
My question is about the PCV valve. I have two in my hand. One from the motor and another I bought on e-bay. Nether have any internal parts. Shouldn't these have a spring and ball type check internally?
Thanks again for all the info and thanks for sharing.

I just had mine apart about a week ago and I think it had a cone shaped thing and a spring inside it. when I looked at it at first I didn't see anything in it, and looking through it, it had a very small hole I could see light at the other side. I was thinking the guts were removed then I realized I had to take it apart further and inside were those little pieces.

If this is what your still looking at you need to disassemble further. put a wrench on both larger hex parts of the steel pcv and turn, they should unscrew into 2 steel pieces and the brass fitting should come out also.

Thanks. I separated the housing and the cone and spring are there. I didn't realize it came apart.
