I just purchased a 1967 Jeep CJ5 "Agri" with the 225 V-6. Does anyone know which transfer cases came with this vehicle from the factory?

Dana 18 would be the factory t case. Think the factory tranny was the T14

How is an "Agri" different from any other 1967 CJ-5?

I have heard of AgriJeeps from the 40s, but that was long gone by 1967. Could be something a dealer made up locally, or some export offering?

The 1967 Jeep CJ5 "Agri" which I purchased was manufactured in Canada by Kaiser. It has a transfer case on the passenger side that has 2 shafts, 1 forward and 1 rear. The front shaft operates a winch and the other protrudes through the rear bumper and is intended to operate farm implements, such as mower, etc.

yes pictures, that sounds like a dual pto attached to a transfer case. I seem to recall the PTO shaft was supposed to be on drivers side so I would be interested to see.

Sounds like a dealer package offering. :)

Dual output PTOs dump the driveshafts on the driver side.

I'd love to see pics of a Jeep that late with a rear PTO.

Also, only the earliest CJ2s were called AgriJeeps. You can call it whatever you'd like but you might end up explaining it quite often.

When the Jeep I have was brought brand new the paper work also said Agri-Jeep. And like the post above is describing it also had a rear PTO, with the control lever on the passenger side (the actual shaft/PTO did run down the driver side though)
    - the draw bar was even setup to accept Ford 9N implements so I do think there is more to it than what we often seen written down.

I have no doubt that it was a dealer option but I strongly suspect it was a factory package available to the dealers when you consider the very different areas these Jeeps pop up in.

My Jeep with the Agri paper work was a 1961 CJ5

To OP - D18 transfer case, T90 transmission in mine.

    I'd love to see pics.

I've never seen any paperwork or advertisements post late 40's that said Agri-Jeep.
That doesn't mean it didn't happen obviously, based on what you have said.

Of course never say never, because the minute you say so, you stop learning.

    This.
I have seen so many dealer packages that were offered differently in various areas in the country that unless I see factory documentation I have to believe the dealer option.
I even know of one dealer installing AMC 401's in intermediates as a dealer offering.

I wasn't there in 1967, but by 1972 at least some of the special equipment was available with delivery. So, usually yes and a qualified yes. However, where I worked, they would have ordered the winch through the dealer parts network, and installed it at the dealership, even if the customer special-ordered the Jeep. Putting special equipment on at the factory was a theft risk en route, and the factory did a sloppy job installing such equipment.
