Tomorrow, we are going to the doctor for transmission problems. Difficult to change from 2nd to 3rd speed.
I'll take photos if we arrive there. It is 40 km from my house.
It will be unpleasant if I am obliged to stop on the road, in the trafic; I take the risk.

The doctor is a specialist of old US military vehicles, and more generally army cars.
It is lost in the fields, but I am afraid of the combine harvesters on the road.
My son is going with me, and if necessary I have a bar and ropes to tear the Jeep to the hospital.

She is waiting in the garden, looking at the yellow cherries which are now fully ripe and delicious.

Around our house, fields are ready for barley crop. It is like a yellow sea moving in the wind. Tomorrow our neigbourhs will launch the action, with the big yellow machines (they have New Holland).

You can see the yellow sea at the back of the Jeep. Or maybe, because sun is in front of me.

I hope that the doctor will give a new youth to transmission, because that's all we need, engine OK, body Ok, electric OK.
Afterwards, when repaired, I'll take off the hard-top for summer clothes. We had bad weather until now, that's why crops are late. I bought a new/old soft top on our craiglist, we wait for it. You know what it is.

The travel was perfect, I jsut used 1st gear then 3rd direct, and no problem at all. The engine works perfect, and it is enough powrful in 3rd gear to climb easily.
This CJ5 or M38 with Hurricane was a very useful vehicle, very simple and powerful enough.

Not fast ... and not too safe if you drive too fast in curbs or crossing ditch. I understood that it was the car with most accidents. The roll-bar maybe useful, I don't like it but... and maybe a belt, I have no belt.

That's why I drive slowly, and take car of curbs. I take car of my ancester.

Please have a look at my post in Off Topics, about ancester : I made some interesting photos.

And maybe, one day I'll get my CJ5 back. You see the shop where it is now, it is a professionnal shop, but these very nice people are artists!

My chance is that the boss has a M38A1... so, it is a friend.
