    Hey guys,

Passenger side taillight quit working, replaced bulb, no dice. Followed wiring from tail light over to drivers side tail light and sure enough one of the two wires coming over from the passenger tail light not connected to anything. So here is the tail light wiring layout on my CJ: two wires, a red and a yellow coming from the passenger side tail light over to the drivers side. There are three wires in a harness going forward, a yellow, a red and a blue. The two wires from the drivers side taillight are two of the three wires in the harness, (the yellow and blue), and the red wire coming over from the passenger side tail light is the third wire going forward in the harness. The yellow wire from the passenger side tail light that was found not connected to anything, I don't see anywhere where it was connected? It would appear to be a ground, can I just terminate it into a bolt into the frame?
    Thanks for your help!

Connect the yellow from the pass side to the yellow on the drivers side. Blue=left turn/stop Yellow=left tail light red=right turn/stop yellow=right tail light.

That was my first attempt, but I got a fast blinking with the blinker on and lights were very dim, seemed like a grounding problem??

Fast blink means not big enough load on the flasher. That tells you one or more bulbs is not connected to the power properly. Turn on your park lights and see if all 4 lights are on. If they are then your grounds are good. The dual element bulb base contacts need to be clean.

Yep, clean the contact pins in sockets AND on the bulbs, and also the inside wall of the bulb holder - that is the ground.

plus the tail/brake/turnsignal housing also has to have a good ground. Between the housings and body.
