    Part number listed is correct for application.
    Reliability/Manufacturer of part listed may not be favorable around here.
    Factory Jeep cable would be better if you could find one.....
    The correct length would/should be about 58" OAL.

    I have one of those on my '70. I'm not a fan. I have to remove it regularly and lube it with graphite, or it gets very stiff to operate. I've thought about trying to adapt a heavy duty industrial cable of some kind, but I've never really researched it.

    have to considered taking your old cable and having one custom made locally? most times they are far better quality.

    My original cable is long gone- I could buy the crown part and take it to a shop to have a replica made. What type of shop do you suggest?

    This is by no means a restoration would it be better to go with a hydrolic set-up now if I had planned to do it in the future?
