Last week I came across an aluminum hardtop in good shape for my 65' cj. I don't see any markings on it so I am not sure of a brand.

#1 Can someone perhaps post a picture of how the doors attach? It appears that they screw or bolt on to the body but I want to get it right.

#2 As far as attaching the top to the body and windshield, I am thinking of using clamps such as are used to clamp down truck caps. Any thoughts or suggestions?

#3 It is too late now, but was $150 too much?

    Thanks

If all the glass is in it, that's a steal for a Hardtop around here! I don't have pics, but the top hinge usually comes off of the side of the windshield.

The doors attach differently depending on what type/brand the top is. Can you post pics of the doors and top? Host them on Photobucket, Flickr, or the like then link them here.
IMHO $150 is cheap if the top is in good shape and complete. Oft times the hinges and fill plates are missing.

    Cool, thanks.

Looks like I have the deluxe aluminum Sears or "keyes". Nice top with the factory insulation inside. My only issue now is how to install the doors? Also, how are you folks attaching the tops to the body?

I think you got a really good deal! I used 1/4 " bolts to hold mine down.
