Would a non turbo carb 3.8l v6 adapt to the t90 tranny well if I would choose to install one in the far future. The reason is that I have the f134 in my 1960 and been thinking of potentially easy swaps for a mild restomod. I have the 3.8l in the garage from my cousins rear totaled regal that I was thinking about. engine runs fine on bench. That or I was going to sell the motor.

As long as it's a rear wheel drive 3.8 Buick, it will work.

Just for future search purposes Regal's up until mid 80's were rear wheel drive. '79 should be a non computerized carb and and distributor but should be a Dualjet carb (basically 1/2 a Quadrajet).
Very good fodder for a swap. Hard part would be a flywheel. You can have a 225 flywheel neutral balanced to work with an evenfire 231 if you can't find an evenfire 231 flywheel.

right now its sitting on the floor mated to a th350. it only had 75k original miles and never smoked, burned or leaked. tranny leaks like a siv out where the dipstick tube goes and yes it looks very similar to a q-jet. my cousin claimed 22-24 mpg with it whether i believe it or not idk.

that was 22-24 mpg with the regal idk with a cj, maybe a 4.3 would be a good choice as well

my hurricane was getting 14mpg. the chevy 3.3 (4.3 with a 3.5" bore, and a dualjet) got 12 with 5.38s in O/D... small note hurricane was doing 55mph, 3.3 was doing 70mph (my darn long legs just can't keep my feet off the floor).
