Do the flathead and F-head 134's use the same carburetor? If not, will they at least mount up and run on either engine?

    Thanks. :)

heres the deal from my understanding, they will work, but if you have a f head in a flat fender then you need to have a solex carb so it will fit under the hood, if you have a flat head in there you should be okay with either carb but dont hold me to it.

Okay, thanks Geoffrey. I'm putting it on a Go-Devil (flathead) so clearance isn't a problem. Anyone else? I'm trying to verify this before buying one a fellow forum member has for sale.

Well, the vote seems to favor one carb. not fitting the other engine, so I'll look for an L-head carb. Thanks, guys! :)

I'm 90% sure this is a F-head solex on my L-head. It works fine.

DJ3As and Industrial Willys Lheads had the carb mount bolts clocked 90° to a regular Lhead (pictured above). Therefore, you can get away with using an Fhead carb on those engines so the gas pedal linkage lines up correctly. Normal Lhead: bolts are front and back. Indusrial: left and right.

Thanks, Garage Gnome. I wouldn't have remembered the stud difference off the top of my head, but I did know that and I'll have to look at my intake to see which I've got. :)
