Thought I would post this as a friendly reminder to everyone that you should check your rear shackle mounts. Mine look good, it's the frame that's the problem. This jeep has been a pain in my butt this year. I'm going to stop working on it for a while and sit in the sun and have a cold one. Frustrating as heck when nothing fits and everything is a chore...but really it's not the Jeep, it's all cars and trucks.

Very common spot for a crack to develop. Probably have one on the other side too.

Yup, both sides have cracks. I'm going to weld them up and scab on some gussets/fish plates/whatever they are called. The jeep is too much fun to drive around to give up now. Still a bunch of work to "finish it". I'm thinking about getting it good enough...then giving it to my brother after I build a lift stretched v8 zombie crushing machine.

Just got bummed there for a sec when I was working on something else and found the cracks. I'm back into it now...with the help of beer.

Watch out with the "beer goggles" they make things look better than what they are. Lol
