I have decided to go ahead and put a 350 in my cj and have had a few interested parties contact me about my engine, but I dont know what a fair price is.It is a 225 with a offerhauser aluminum intake and a holley 4 barrell carb. it is complete from intake to oil pan. It had sat for a while before i bought it so I opted to check the lower end before starting it. I plastiguaged the rods and mains and all were well within limits. I opted for new rod and main bearings. i also replaced the oil pan gasket as well as the valve cover gaskets. The motor is really clean and runs good. I am including over frame exit headers but they have been welded instead of bolted to the exhaust but the exhaust will be included if desired. It exits behind the rear tires.I can send pics if that would help. Thanks in advance

Not if there's no price. :D

C'mon, you posted this a 1 AM EST. Give the guys a chance to wake up and get on here before you start complaining about the lack of replies.

After 3 days if you have no replies then I'd say it would be appropriate to speak up again.

I am not sure where you got your info from there sparky, but it has been on here for several days before I posted that there were no replies. As for moving it to the for sale section I was going to once I got some ideas, This is not an ad advertising it, but was meant to try to give me some idea of what the whole dauntless crew would think it was worth. Thanks for the replies and keep the helpful posts coming. I enjoy getting all kind of info from all the different projects that this sites members have going.Keep Jeepin

I sold a complete one like yours pan to a/c for $250 but yours sounds like it might be a better buy then mine. From everything I see on the web, single parts for this little gems sell better and for more $$ then complete engines.

I saw a new short block in a crate for $1,000.00 once and it took the guy for ever to sell it. (maybe he never did)

I'd buy it but that is all I need in my garage, another spare bullet for the 51 and the 67.

    Best of luck!

I think that a fair price would be somewhere between $ 275 to $350.
..... Sounds like a good engine, best of luck finding a good home for it!

I stand corrected, I just looked at the timestamp not the date.

I don't mind it being here at all. As I realize your intentions. Fine by me.

A Dauntless engine sold on eBay (item #4506916972) about a week ago for $150. Looks like it needs a complete overhaul, sitting on the ground in Utah. Use that as a gauge for comparison.
