This has been gone over before but I always seem to get different results, information.
I want to put a newer windshield in my 63 cj. Get rid of the vac. wipers and get a little more glass. From what I've seen the swap out years stop at either 1975 or 76. Which is it? I think the idea of bottom mount wipers and a maybe 3" higher glass would be nice. Is it a complete swap out or do I have to buy other hinges? Do I also need the new hinges or will the new fit my old? I can get a junk yard windshield frame with wiper motors for $150.00. Sounds ok to me. Any comments or help. Most folks probably won't notice the difference. If one of them has 2 speed wipers that would also be nice. The 2 speed is probably only in the switch, no problem.
    Thanks, Charlie Brown said that

75 is the last year. Hinges are the same.

What Patrick said. up to '75 no mods to hinges, doors, top, etc. will be some wiring to do. '76 and newer requires newer top, doors, hinge mods, w/s latch mods, plus wiring mods. '76 and newer has the wiper motor on the bottom but inside the vehicle. '75 and older bottom mount wipers the motor is on the outside driver's side.

I swapped a '90's Yj windshield onto my ECJ5. I wired up the switch for the wipers so i have a two speeds.

You change where the windshield mounts on the YJ model? and the lockdowns to keep it upright? Wiring it wouldn't be that big a deal.
