Just got a email from Walck's introducing TightSteer. Any thoughts? :?

Wonder if it will work or just a gimmick? Expensive too.

I don't plan to use it b/c I like my flouncy boucny loose steering - it is part of the overall package!

Got a flyer about that with the steering box bearings & shims I just got from them. I've messed with those at work on some projects, but they weren't that strong. I could see where it would work. If the alignment doesn't help my steering out, I may try it.

Ordered one last night. I'll let you know how it works out. I'm a bit skeptical.

Installed a tightsteer today. I may be crazey, but it seems to smooth out the "freeplay" in my steering. It's a little tigher (not much) but the reaction is more smooth. Think I may order a heavier spring to see what it does.

Did anyone else out there other than Russo try the TighSteer? Russo, any more thoughts after using it for a while? I was about to order one on Walck's website and figured before I spend the money I should get more reviews from the experts.

I'm by no means an expert, but I installed this about a month and a half ago and it seems to have really helped reduce the freeplay in my steering. It is not a fix all, but it helps the feel of the steering after everything else has been fixed.
