Those seats would fit perfect in my Tux 66 and I do have the lower bracket for the passenger side.

I have seen em on a 1974, but the passenger seat brackets were different and had the pivot that fit into the two-holed pivot bracket/receptacle the bolted to the floor to access the tool box. I don't know what the deal is with this one??

Great thanks. I am starting to think that some PO knocked out the pivot bolts normally welded-on where you can see the now, hardware bolt..

Do the backs pivot also or are they fixed? Do they have coil innersprings or more of a wave type?
My set came from a 1965 Tux and both backs pivot. The passenger side base only works with the early cast tabs like a CJ2. I aquired two different passenger lower tube style hangers. The early has just the tube and the let's say '71 has the tube with a foot. The pivot tabs are located different distances from the centerline of the vehicle. My '69 was drilled or punched for the later style with the foot so I might be mistaken on the changeover year. The '65 /40 passenger seat worked with neither tube/bar style, only the cast tabs.

The '65 60/ drivers side back pivots and the seat is mounted on adjustment slider rails. My '69 drivers side entry is punched with several holes to unbolt and move the whole seat, mount and all. The '65 is closer to the center than the later style as well.

They have innersprings and I have both types of passenger brackes in stock. One with the tube and another that has the tube with the foot.

    and with foot:

and I have seen this setup on a 74 having the 60/40 seat setup (passenger side to pivot forward)

...I am trying to get a degree in CJ seat identification...

As from what I know, the ones from the foot are for the @62-71 CJ's and without are for the 72-75 but the hole in the tub's still existed and just had a bolt for a filler.

The cast brackets were used with this style of seat up through 1975. Here's the parts book drawing:

Oh, and for curiosity's sake, my drivers side back tips forward. The parts drawing shows a fixed back. My passenger is fixed but the whole unit tips for tool box access.

The original brackets on my 74 are stamped steel, not cast. Similar style, but they definitely switched from cast to stamped at some point.
