My 69's heater core started leaking just before fall. I cant remember where I found new ones but did not buy one because they were way expensive, like 200-300 hundred bucks if I remember correctly. Mine had a crack in the inlet tube that go's through the fire wall just where it enters the actual core. I sanded the spot the best i could (very tight spot) and used some stuff like jb-weld that I got at a tractor supply store. It was water and sovent resistant, I think it was called Farm Aid. I have not had a leak since I put it back on. To test it before installing, I filled the core at the kitchen sink and pluged one outlet with my finger and blew into the other, seem good and reinstalled it. That farm aid stuff comes in two sticks that you kneed together, instead of the squeez tubes that JB-weld comes in. If your leak is on the tubes or the body of the core you may want to try it..

If you use the search function here you'll find all the info you need, including part #'s. The last one I bought was about $40, but that was 3 or so years ago.

I found that both O'Reilly's and Parts Plus can order cores direct from the manufacturer. I ordered one last month for my 62 for $39 and took about 4 days to be delivered.
