'55 CJ-6 w/amc 360 Newer front clip??

    So I've got a '55 CJ-6 and I'd like to shoehorn a 360 into it. I know people have done this but I was wondering if it would be easier to get a post '72 front clip or stretch my existing one? Thanks.

    You can fit a V8 in with just the later grille, but the four inch longer fenders do make it easier. The biggest issue with the longer fenders is the tires will not be in the center of the wheel opening, so you'd have to streatch the wheelbase to match the fenders.

    Thanks for the info. I actually don't have a frame yet for this project so finding a later model frame is what I'll do!
