I am swapping a 73 d30 into my Willys. The owner I got it from already swapped it to disk brakes. In rebuilding it, I noticed the spindle studs seem too short, probably because off the caliper bracket on the spindle. Is this okay? Or are there longer studs I can swap in?

You can get the longer disc brake studs from many sources. R&P, Partmike, Hermtheoverdriveguy, Six States Distributing, etc should have them or be able to get them.

The local O'Reilly's has them here and I would assume NAPA also has them.

Technically you can achieve required torque value with a minimum of three-turn engagement. I'm not sure if the pic represents three full turns. Considering the environment for these fasteners, I would not trust the minimum; I would certainly go for the longer studs.

With the longer studs the locking portion of the nut can "grab" the threads. The way the pic shows the nut is just a regular nut, no locking function there.

looks like you have them off the jeep, but would go with longer bolts.
