Ive been planning a while on stretching my 5 so I started doing some designs to night. It will be stretched out to cj6 lenghth so 104" wheel base.

the first two would have cab close outs and full tub with panels on the "bed" sides

and these two would have a cab like a p/u truck with beds styled after the m416 trailer

Just wondering what yall think would look good. And curious which one would get the most votes lol

Mod note: I moved this as I fail to see how it fits in a stock or restoration theme when such an item was never offered.

Interesting idea, but belongs in this forum section.

    FWIW, an "early" CJ6 was 101" W.B.

I thought I had it in general chit chat but may have brought up wrong forum.

The second one was offered, its just a 6 with half cab. Only differnce is side panels. I belive it looks better that way gives more of a balance front to rear

Sorry, moved to Intermediate forum, my fault.

I'm familiar with the CJ-6 half-cab combo. However, your stretching the Jeep and adding panels to the top makes it no longer stock (it's homemade)!
    Yes, there's a joke there... ;)

For aesthetics, I like #2 the best, however if I were building it, I'd build #1 for utility purposes. I don't like the seperate mini-bed in #'s 3 and 4.

I would have to go with either the first pic or the second pic. It would all depend on how you plan to use the jeep. if you want to transport cargo go with the half cab. if transporting people is your priority go with the full cab. I think both woud look okay but the half cab woul look a bit better astecticly(sp?).

Well we usually use it for camping and need room for a dog or two in the bed. I'm defiantly leaning toward one of the extended cab versions for dry storage. Its probably gonna get moved up to more daily driver use when finished

I like the 1st one with the extended cab look.

Are you looking at using a Meyers full cab for that?
