The T400 in the late Jeeps Commandos had the AMC T400 (GM) Just wondering how different these would be from the T350 on the tail shafts. Could you mount the factory D20 adapter to the T350 with suttle changes, or would it be pounding a square peg in a round hole?

Completely different. Even worse than pounding a square peg in a round hole. The most they have in common off the top of my head is that they are 3 speeds and are from GM. If I remember right, I think the torque converters are interchangeable as well.

as was said, lots of differences. The adapter from a th-400 won't work on the Th-350 as the bolt pattern is different. 6 for the 400 and 4 for the 350. Output shaft is different as well.
