I've got a problem with my 69 CJ5 jumping out if reverse. It does not jump out under a load, only if I let off on the gas pedal it'll jump out.

    WHAT UP WIT DAT????

    I need...:coffee:

T14 reverse gear doesn't slide to engage and disengage; it is in constant mesh and engages when 1st synchro ***'y slides back "splines" the gear. The reverse gear turns constantly in the opposite direction of the mainshaft while driving. The reverse gear has a bronze bearing-- It's just a guess but yours may be worn, causing the gear to be "wobbly" and jumping out of gear.

Yes ... when the bushing inside the gear wears, it allows the gear to skew slightly on the shaft. This pushes the shift collar away from the gear and disengages the gear. Popping out of gear on decelleration is a common feature of a worn transmission.
