My pain in the wallet

I am in the process of taking my 71 cj5 from a cut up jeep to a full tube buggy. I finaly got around to the painful part of buying a dana 60 front end. After removing it from a still running vehicle, getting it home, pressure washing it and opening it up I found this.



This sucks.

That is sad.. That's one of the reasons for a drain plug.

 

i totaly agree it just makes me sad.

 

Dang that even has some hair in it!!!

I had this happen to me once with a scout 44. The salvage yard took it back.

Needless to say I pop the cover and check all the ones I am interested in buying.
