Was thinking of doing the zerk install, but then I got to thinking. :D I don't have any areas close by to do any 4 wheeling so I don't know how I would know if I am getting sufficient lube into the upper king pin bearing. So If I just lock in my front hubs and drive in 2 wd high, the fast spinning of the knuckle should throw the lube up into the bearing. RIGHT..and this would be true for both sides. YES?

This is exactly how the upper bearings were intended to be lubed.

If they were packed upon installation, they don't require much anyhow. Low speed (extremely for a tapered roller) low heat environment.

I tore mine down today and repacked the bearings and new pudding in the knuckles. made it steer a little easier but not allot. the bearings looked like they were starting to get pretty dry. but they weren't shot.
