225 hei cap and button

i went to the parts house and was going to get a distributor cap and rotary button and found out they dont have it for the hei and dont know where i can find one. i went to o rilleys auto parts. i did order one for a 231 buick will that work?

 

Default for ordering is a 75 Buick Apollo with a 231 odd-fire motor. That will get you what you need if you are running a odd-fire HEI in a 225 motor.

 

Keep a log book of all the modifications you make to your Jeep! Little details, like the one just illustrated, will derail you down the road as it's tough to remember all the stuff you might change.
If you pull a part from a salvage yard, you might even record that vehicle's VIN. Sometimes it can be helpful when you have to troubleshoot an issue.

 

i looked it up and they only show a cap different from than mine. mine looks just like the ones on later chevy v8 with hei. the coil is in the cap.

 

could mine be a 231 instead and how can i tell?

ok i now know that mine is the 225 v 6 with odd fire hei ign. system do i just go and tell i need a dis. cap for the 75 apollo and it will be the right one?

 

does anybody know the part number ?
