I'm not sure, but I suspect that would have been an aftermarket item. I'd just cut out a piece of marine plywood to fit the space and upholster it. Maybe put some rubber feet on it and attach it with Velcro or just strap it to the rollbar, if you have one.

I have some that came with my Jeep. I'm sure they are aftermarket. When new, they may have been "Jeep approved" and sold through the Jeep parts department, back in the day.

As described, they seem to be a piece of plywood cut to fit, and upholstered.

No, just one on each fender (or wheelhouse).

The snaps are supposed to connect to some vinyl tabs on the cushions - just not snapped here. The pads are maybe sitting backwards on the fenderwell?

My gf in high school (wife now) made me a couple - just upholstery foam and vinyl. That was 30 years ago, still using them.

The wheelhouse pads first appeared as an option for model CJ-5 around 1960 or 1961.

    Chuck,
Is that an early rollbar? where did you get the cool zipper padding? I see padding for the new style rollbars but none for the old-skool rollbar that has the side bars connecting towards the center of the top crossover.

Are the stock rear seats that fit on the wheel wells for a cj6 similar to these?

I found some good pictures of some stock-looking (IMO) wheel house
cushions. When I found the pictures I saved them so I could use them
as reference when I do the interior on my CJ6.

I had seen a post referring to "wheel house cushions" but I didnt know
what they were until now. :?

I will post the pictures that I have when I get home this evening.

Here are the two picture of the cushions I found. They are not the most detailed but they do give you an idea.

Tom, the rollbar and padding came with the Jeep when purchased new in 71.

boy, haven't been here in a long time. I was just going through the garage and saw my "wheelhouse cushion pads" that don't fit in my Jeep. The rollbar was changed at some point and they wont snap in without heavily modding them. I thought maybe I'd take them to get fitted someday but, not gonna happen.
Anyway these are from a '65 tux and I will be putting them up for sale. Not sure what to ask but they are in very good condition and I suspect very rare.
