my stocker fenders were pretty torn up by the tires and trail abuse. you could wiggle the grill and it would really move around.it really twisted well since nothing was basicly holding it together.

my kid works for SPD they build trophy trucks and have the most winning rig out there right now .I think the B.Baldwins run theirs .anyway he said it was time to fix it up and this is what we came up with.the dimple dies were his idea,,,, to throw a little tech and cool factor into it. we wanted to keep the inner fenders so we drilled out the spot welds and got the sides off and layers of jeep metal that was all rusty, figured out a shape ......jeep fenders stick out so far so we cut the corner off ,bent up some heavy 1". replated the top for the over that really rusted spot.

maded sure everything fit well and the hood closes because it's all just floping around

used alot of wire to weld it all back together

welded a piece of 1" stock here to stiffen this up alittle . don't really need a brace here since the fenders are to short theres no leverage. so far no cracks

they really made a HUGE difference in how the jeep handled/drives and wheeled . the stockers were really far gone for any kind of structure to the front end.about 1 day apiece to cut, fab, weld and finish

this side doen't look this clean any more

I gotta tell ya, when I first looked at your rig, I wasn't thrilled. By the time I got to the final pic....man , that looks bad-***....... Do you have a front view pic? I might have to mod my 5.

I like those. If'n I had a bender, I'd find a set of trashed fenders and build some..
    Thanks!

ha ha, do I need to do a build ,really.I would be honored. the pack is behind the grill with just the connection sticking out. made a door in the side of the grill box to get to them if needed.
