I'm replacing the generator with an alternator. Can someone
post a picture of the bracket needed' or tell me what to build?
    It's a 64 cj5 with a 4 cylinder. Thanks

Here's the one you need, the A-200. It runs about $33 from www.alternatorparts.com

They also have the wide-groove pulley you will need in order to mate the alternator up to everything else. ;)

A '55 CJ5 with 4 cyl just followed me home and it has an alternator in place. I will be restoring back to generator. I would be interested in a swap. PM me if you are interested and I can email pics of what I have.

That's where I got mine about 5 years ago.

Since then I had Mike (Mcruff) build me one. Here are
    the drawings.

does everything line up just right?
i have the complicated looking one at the top of this thread.
and would like to eliminate weak links if possible.
    less parts
    less failure points.

Yep. The holes line up w/ the plate on the F-134. Bolts right up.

    Panzer,
What about the alternator brace and do you use the original mounting hole for it? How much clearance do you have between the alternator shaft on the front and the radiator fan blades?
I had only 1/4 " between the blades and the shaft once the pulleys were
    lined up.

I used a brace from AutoZone w/ a couple of bends in it. . You need to use belt # #25 9415.
Here are a couple of shots.

I am getting to the party pretty late here. What Make model and Year did you order the Alternator for? FLAPS has trouble looking up anything that they dont have all that info for. Thanks
