I am fabricating the new T-Pin now.
My carrier still has the spring in there - just like yours. So, how does he spring grab the T-pin? Is there a washer welded to the T-pin or is there some sort of smaller cross pin that goes through the main T-pin?

I found one of these tire carriers in a lot of parts I bought. It’s missing the latch side mount on the body and the mounts to the body on the swing end. Would anyone be willing to take close up pictures and provide measurements of the brackets on each end so I can fabricate replacements?

My Ren. is about 3 hours away in Fresno. I can get some measurements next time I am there - with a week or two...

I have my carrier in pieces as I need to get it painted. I'll take the measurements of the brackets tomorrow morning. Can anybody tell me what kind of black was it? Was it flat black? semi gloss? Gloss?

Thank you so much. I can fabricate that. Would you have the brackets that hold the swing side?

A little question on the rubber bump stops that sit against the tailgate. Mine were all cracked and really falling apart. I tried looking for a part number but I couldn't see any so I went to ACE hardware and found some 1-1/8 rubber leg tips that I did cut and put over the metal brackets. I was all happy until I realized that they lasted maybe two months before they cracked as well. Is there anything that anybody has found that might work and that will last some time?

Thank you again for all the pictures. I really appreciate you doing that. This seems simple enough to make.

What is the length of the main hoop on these carriers, Measured from outside of the tube's radius near the latch to the center of the bend on the legs?

and from that bend to the pivot holes?
