So I'm going to Moab next week for the first time to try the CJ and decided I need more light output. So I ordered a set of headlight h4 conversion headlamps and then decided to take it a step further and do an h4 HID conversion. Also added some Aux lights front and rear. I took it out last night and wow what a difference! Here are a few pics:

Looks good! I'm a firm believer in having enough light..
I have Delta Tech H4 conversion headlights. On the rear, I run the rubber housed tractor lights. Matter of fact, I have them on my pickup and my ZR2 Blazer as well.

I see you have BFG MT KM2's. Are those 33X10.50's?

Yeah that would be fun! The cut off of the head lamps is actually really low. I need to adjust them up to the proper level so they extend out far enough. They will stand out though that's for sure :)

The conversion headlamps are DOT approved...not sure on the HID's...I'll look later. Good thing is they only use 35 watts but throw out a lot of white light

Ha ha I wouldn't get mad over that... that's what these forums are for...sharing info and ideas. I cut the buckets so I could have easy access to change out the bulbs if needed. Say a bulb or balast goes out, I can switch to the halogens in seconds instead of having to take out the headlamp from the front to get to it. Just easier I guess. The balast plugs right into the oem bulb socket for power. I got the HID kit from a guy that sells on ebay. There are a ton of sellers on there that sell them but I have bought a number of kits from this guy for motorcycles and my truck and they are quality. He gives me a discount for having bought several times so the kit was only like $140ish shipped. I went with the 6000k which is my favorite. The light output is awesome.

Looks like a great conversion. Where the conversion H4s branded and if so, how was the quality.

The bulbs were a direct fit with the 3 tabs fiting into the h4 slots. Also has a shield on the front of the bulb. The cut off is really sharp so it's great for throwing out a lot of light but not shining everywhere...including oncoming drivers eyes. I'll get some pictures this week of the light at night while in moab and post them on here. But yeah, kit is a direct plug and play and can be switched back in seconds if needed. I've used several kits from this guy and they are german made and high quality...never had an issue.
