Photo Request- Ramsey PTO Winch Mount

O.K folks, I need some "stock" pics of a Ramsey winch on the front of a '5 detailing the placement of the mounts, a photo from ground level in front showing where the winch drive shaft passes under the x-member, a photo looking down at the drive shaft in the engine compartment and one showing the detail of how/where the mounts are attached to the frame rails. I'd also appreciate some measurements of where the mounts are bolted to the rails.

    Thanks,

    H.

Hey Howard finally got home, here's a few pics, of the ramsey winch and also the original angle bracket that fits in the frame bolts threw the factory holes in the frame and the winch brackets rest on it. I had new ones made up there hard to see in the pics. Hope this helps.

    That's Great! :)

I had a whole different (i.e.- Wrong ) idea on what it was supposed to look like.

Of course, you didn't think I was going to let you off that easy, Did You?

Q1- How thick is the angle iron?

Q2- The rear longitudenal looks like angle that has one side trimmed off, is that right? If so how much of the trimmed side is left?

Q3- it looks like the front mount ties to the bumper, or maybe I'm seeing the fairlead mount, can you take a bit more detailed pic of what's happening here?

    Thanks Soooooo Much,

    H.

On my continuing quest to bring old posts kicking & screaming back from the grave having corresponded with windyhill I've now got what should be an accurate drawing of one style of mount-

    Ta Da!-

A larger and somewhat less fuzzy version of this drawing dimensioned to print out on an 8.5" x 11" sheet is available here-

Now, it seems there was a slightly different version as well, one that raises the winch up an inch or two from WH's version-

If any of you out there have one of these I'd appreciate it if you could send me some measurements, I'd like to do up a drawing for that style as well.

    Thanks again to windyhill :)

p.s.- for the recidivists who've snuck in amongst us here's a drawing for a truck/waggie mount supplied to me a while back by Tom Jacoby from the Willys Tech mail list-

No problem Howard and thanks for all the work putting it into a readable format.:) Looks Great!

Is it possable to start a PTO / accessories section in the tech library? I was thinking a section with part#'s for bearings etc. and drawings etc. for winches, gearboxes, PTO's etc. I have most of the part #'s now for rebuilding ramsey pto's as well as a rear gearbox.

What is the size of the 4 bolts that hold the front and rear mounts to the side mounts? Also, what size are the bolts holding the side brackets to the frame rails?

I'm interested in what jglad asked as well. I'd also noticed the measurments for where the holes are on the front and rear bracket where they mount to the side brackets are missing. Can someone confirm the proper measurements?

If you guys are interested I just rebuilt my 200r and my stock plate looks different than that one. Also, I had a machine shop build a mounting plate to hold the carrier bearing on the drive line that goes on a v6. It bolts on the front of the bell housing. I kept all the boxes of seals that went into the winch. I've also got the empty seal boxes for a single stick PTO.

Here's some pics of the winch and that carrier bearing plate
