'63 was the last year before Kaiser reorganized and it went from Willys Motor Corp. to Kaiser Jeep Corp. in '64.

Yup. And some purists think it wasn't really Willys anymore after Kaiser got involved and it went from Willys Overland to Willys Motor Corp.

    64Jeeper I have Brakes!

My 64 has a Willys serial plate, and a Willys logo tailgate. Maybe it was one of the last ones before Kaiser changed all that.

Well, yes, but the question was what year was the last for the CJ-5 to be called a Willys, that was '63 by the VIN tag and company as explained above, which means 3Bs made from '63 to '68 sorta aren't.

IMO, Kaiser made no major changes, just bought the company, thus it's still a Willys up until the AMC buyout, when they started making real changes. That could be debated on the same grounds I suppose though, until the '76 model year.

id call it a willys up until 73, but recognize that it is a kaiser if need be. It was the willys design still.

Once thing started getting changed up, it wasnt a willys anymore. Then it was a AMC Jeep. IMO.

however technically, it stopped being a WILLYS in 63-64....

Then again, if you buy a NEW tub from Willys, and build up a new jeep... with ALL aftermarket parts (frame and everything included) Would it be a Willys then? food for thought my jeep comrades.
