    Anybody ever cram 265's on a 16x7 Jeep rim? I need to change tires on the Jeep truck (the mudders on it are terrible on the pavement) and if I have to buy a set of tires I want to buy new ones for my F350. The tires I have on it now are good enough for the Jeep, but will they fit is the question? anyone know how wide a 265/75/16 would be on a 7" rim?

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

    Mike, my 97 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 came factory 265/75/16 on 16x7 alloy wheels. My truck has about 8 1/4" inches tread contacting the ground; with the sidewall bulge about 10" overall

    Okay this may be off topic, but what do those numbers mean? Is a 265/75/16 265 mm wide with a sidewall that is 75% of 265 mm on a 16 inch rim? I'm tire size newbie

    265 = 265 mm
    75= Aspect ratio (side wall is 75% of the tire tread width)
    16= 16" wheel
