Well you heard it here first people Chia was worked on today.

Spent the last few hours working on getting the towbar rigged up. Came in after it was only halfway done due to some storms blowing up. I will come back tomorrow and finish up. Only had one run to Lowes to get a 1/2in neckdown to 3/8 drillbit I will be searching harbor freight for a 1/2drill soon. Dad of course comes out when I decided to put the bar on to see how it will look and commented how high the bar isR)

I didn't take Chia out onto the street remembering Boyink's comment about not being able to back a flattowed Jeep up.
    A few things I noticed.
I put the mounts further out then planned due to the backing plates that came with the mounts.
I need to try flipping the hitch to see if I can be closer to level for the towbar.
I need to add some safety chains now.

Oh yeah and now it is poring out there timed that one about as well as I could.

Boy oh boy I don't like the "non backup-able" feature. I had to get mine up a nice little hill into the side yard. I don't need the gym for about 2 years now
Congrats on getting back to work, looks like a great project.

    Lift the cherokee lol
You might be able to back it if someone turns the wheels

Lift the ZJ. Yeah that won't happen trust me I have tried.
With no steering box bumping the tires to get them to turn is a PITT(Pain in the Tailsection) That is next on the list, maybe tomorrow.

You might leave it that way. I found that under braking it add weight to the back of the truck to help stop.

The picture does not show how steep the angle is. I have to remember 1in lowered ZJ(spring sag) and a 4in+lifted(no drivetrain) CJ are not even going to be close in hight.

Ordering my Yota rad today hopefully. Might wait till tomorrow to see how much the speeding ticket I got a while back will end up being( going to court to fight it)

Mine was not quite that steep of an angle at 1st, it made enough racket to wake the dead when turning a corner. I put a raised reciever on my truck its still not level but it helped alot. I can back mine in a relativley straight line, its backing and turning that gives me fits, it doesn't want to track like a trailer.

Yeah and I have to make a serious turn to get into that spot Chia is in not only because of the Neon being there but just infront of the ZJ is the garage door( door is on the backside of the house).

Rad ordered now I just need to wait till mid sept to get it  Have I mentioned I come from the "I want it now generation";) R)

Maybe if a few government employees would lend a hand at some point I will be able to make it. Worked a little on the steering today trying to mock it up. That might have to wait because it looks like I am going to have to build a new rad crossmember :( It also didn't help that I need to go to the gym, that steering box felt 2X heavier then I remember.

    Yes I do.
I remembered Boyink saying something about not being able to back up and I decided not to try and find out. I do have a fairly sharp turn to get Chia into it's spot, ask Jason or Shannon or Ben about its placement.
