Paint code

Does anyone know where to find the paint code on a 1970 Commando? You can see by the pic in my avatar that its some kind of a green color and it needs some paint soon or I will loose the hood. I would like to get something on it soon just to hold it until money is available to have it done at a shop.:v6:

 

Looks like Avocado Mist metallic, but don't take my word for it. http://www.autocolorlibrary.com. I'm not sure if they have 1970.

 

If it is Avocado Mist Metallic the paint codes are as follows for 71 and prior. Bullnose codes were actually different colors even though the avocado mist color was the same, just not metallic.

If you're lucky the paint and trim code sticker will still be stuck to the firewall just above the battery.

 

WOW, thanks guys I really appreciate the help with my questions. I cant wait to get started on the body work. As soon as our winter storm is gone and I can start patching, sanding and painting. I want to get most of it done before we install the engine. Straight forward no BS answers to questions, I think this is the best formum on the web. Thanks again to everyone here.:v6:

 

Update

Good news guys I can get the paint at my local paint store. Omni has it and its only $24.95 per quart. I think I will buy a gallon so when the time comes I can paint the entire rig.
