Does anyone know of a spair tire carrier that is made for my M101? I would guess that others would fit with the same bolt pattern. thanks

There is a spare tire carrier designed for the original intended tow vehicle, the Iltis. I've already looked into it and don't think it would mount well on the trailer. It would have to be a front or back wall mount and heavily modified.

Something like Mike Boyink has on front is nice OR an underbody mount like a pick up truck has been used.

Here is the Iltis Spare holder

I was at the PA Jeep show and saw someone with a Bantam I believe with a carrier right on the back but I didn't get a close look at it. I think I just might fab one up to bolt to the rear of the trailer, it is plenty stout enough to carry one of those little spairs. Although a spring over and some 37's to match my CJ7 is tempting so I only have to carry one spair. thanks

You might find some ideas in the CDN M101 Yahoo group photo section. Seem to recall seeing a few there.

Most mil trailers used the prime movers spare as the trailer spare.
