If your going for some moderate wheeling, and you are not denting the floorboard under the skinny pedal, I would recommend the D30 front. It has held up pretty well in pop's sncj5 with a freshly rebuild, and pretty stout 225, a tera low kit in the dana18, and a lockrite up front. He also runs 33x12 boggers up front, and is not scared to get on it a good bit if he has to. Out back, the dana 44 conversions, or the full swap will both be good. Those 44 rears can be a little hard to find, but not impossible. I guess that depends on your region. Either way, if your not building a dedicated rock crawler, those might be the best bang for you buck. The cheapest way to go would be to swap some more modern U-joint front shafts in your front axle housing, and replace the d25 hub bolts with studs. That should hold up pretty good until a full swap suits you. Good luck and let us know what you decide, and how it works.

I found a shop in Yuma that sells rebuilt diffs to customer spec, with all the mods I want for a moderately decent price. The nice thing is that they are interested in buying some of my old parts off me. So that will kinda off set the price. I will let everyone know how it turns out. Might be a while though, I need the cash first.
